In 2007, the New York Times wrote a story on my family, which included my husband and our son, who was 3 ½ at the time (https://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/19/nyregion/nyregionspecial2/19Rparenting.html). We were a gay couple in suburbia with a child, and eleven years ago, that was considered news. In my past life, as founder of a chain of chicken wings restaurants (atomicwings.com), I was not necessarily “out” and it made me feel disconnected from the hundreds of people with whom I worked.

In co-founding Cuddlist with my business partner, Madelon Guinazzo, we made a very conscious decision that our site celebrates everyone, and that includes me. It’s liberating. In the past two years I, along with other LGBTQ+ Cuddlists, have been published in the press, specifically as it relates to touch deprivation in the LGBTQ+ community and the responses we’ve gotten have been so validating. Here are a few of the articles:

This June Madelon and I want to wish you all a meaningful, happy Pride.
