We all need to feel accepted unconditionally—with all of our flaws and with all the ways in which we might be deemed “weird”. A cuddle session with me provides an opportunity to fulfill that need in a safe and cozy environment free of judgment. Volunteering for an LGBTQ helpline taught me the importance of empathy and gave me plenty of training and experience in active non-judgmental listening. In my cuddle sessions, I utilize the approaches learned there. I warmly welcome clients of any and all orientations and gender identities.

My other goal is for you to come out of cuddle sessions feeling confident in your ability to communicate your own needs and wants. It’s only natural to feel vulnerable when asking for a specific kind of touch we want. We’re unsure about how the other will react, and that uncertainty, along with the fear of rejection, makes us hesitate to speak up. This apprehension can be overcome with practice given that both of us agree to only say Yes to what we would be genuinely happy to do and to say No to anything we wouldn’t feel 100% comfortable doing.

In reflecting on the experience I realized that you very effectively put me at ease. It was a really comfortable and really nice hour.
