Thank you for taking care of yourself!
I believe that touch can be one of the most powerful and nourishing tools for human connection. Our bodies have a deep and ancient knowledge of communication that is often overlooked, under-stimulated, or taken for granted in our busy society. I chose to become a Cuddlist to help facilitate the feeling of being fully held, fully accepted, fully…well… FULL! The best thing that we can do for the world is take care of ourselves, letting our bodies fill up with compassion and care and then overflow into our environment and the people around us.
In my professional life, I work for a non-profit that supports people getting along better through communication and movement workshops. I am well versed in trauma awareness and run the conflict transformation branch. I know how to be sensitive to the emotions that can arise in touch conversations as feelings of isolation, sadness, and constriction are released and transformed. Stepping into joy, sensation, and aliveness can be a scary, yet liberating, transition!
In my personal life, I tend to be pretty cuddly with and loyal to my friends. I feel happiest when I am using my gifts to help others thrive. I am also an artist. I love to create a state of flow between myself and the material I am working with, usually painting topics of personal centeredness and grounding. I am also an advocate for environmental sustainability and a practiced meditation facilitator.
Session information from Daemion
I like to schedule a 20 minute phone call or 20 minute in-person meet-up at a coffee shop before the first session to get to know if we would be a good fit working together. This can be fun and helps ease any nerves you may have scheduling your first appointment. Congratulations of taking care of yourself!
I do not currently have a Cuddlist space set up a my house so I prefer to meet clients in their space. The first hour of travel is free and each hour after that is $30. I am also eager to set up arrangements at a hotel if you want to work with me but do not have a place you feel comfortable hosting.
I like to begin my sessions by setting up a compassionate framework where we learn to communicate with each other. I will usually ask you what kind of touch feels best for you and let your preferences guide the rest of the session. If you have trouble tapping into your own bodily knowingness, I have a few fun exercises to begin with.
I like to set the space by playing gentle music. I will sometimes use light sage to energetically cleanse the air or light a candle if that’s something you would like, too. You are also welcome to make requests about the space to set up a most supportive environment for yourself!
