Hello, awesome human being! Give yourself a big hug for considering a cuddle therapy session-a beautiful way to love, take care of and celebrate YOU.
I truly believe in the healing power of genuine human connection and platonic, consensual touch.
Though I am new to the Cuddlist community, I have been supporting others’ healing and growth as a professional Reiki (the word refers to the “spiritual energy” or “life-force” that is used in a Japanese spiritual healing practice and hands-on healing modality) practitioner for over ten years.
I am so happy to be able to offer the same energy, compassion, support, comfort and encouragement that I have always offered in reiki sessions, in this new and less-formal touch therapy context.
As a child, beyond the age of three or four years old, I experienced very little physical touch or affection. So, I spent most of my young adult life rediscovering touch and getting back in touch with my own authentic self, feelings, and needs. This journey of self-discovery lead me to Reiki and becoming a Reiki healer, and now it has lead me to cuddle therapy and becoming a cuddlist.
My self-love journey has also included healing around and embracing my truth of being an African American, gay male in this society that has historically, either directly or indirectly, discriminated against and harmed me. Due to my own experiences in these realms, I am passionate about working with other gay men of color. I enjoy helping gay men of all colors to turn their often disappointing, disconnected and sex-obsessed encounters with men in the bars, clubs and on the dating/hookup apps, into self-loving encounters, where they can experience genuine connection, intimacy, and affection.
Of course, I love working with all genders, races and sexual orientations!
Everyone needs to feel loved, seen, validated and respected for the unique and amazing human beings that they are.
My heart-felt desire with this work is that you feel loved, seen, validated and respected for the amazing human being that you are and that our time together helps you rediscover your own authentic self and needs. I will empower you to ask for what you need and want and to communicate what you don’t want.
I am here for you, and I look forward to sharing cuddle space with you!
Session information from Nick
Once you have made your request, I will do my best to contact you via text, email or phone (depending on your preference) within 24hrs so that we can find a session time that will work for both of us.
After we have decided on a day and time, I will follow-up with you via a Skype call so that we can make sure we are a good fit for each other, go over the Code of Conduct and discuss any other questions you may have and/or special requests.
My session space is in my home in La Mesa (91941) and will always be clean, comfy, and free of any strong scents (I’m happy to diffuse an essential oil, if you like!). Also, my home is pet-free, in case you have allergies.
I can also do out-calls within 30 miles of Downtown, San Diego, for an extra flat-rate fee of $20 (this fee will be waived for anyone with a disability).
“Connection” and “cuddling” can be as subtle as sitting next to each other talking and maybe holding hands, to hugging, and spooning. Your session might include a hand rub, a back rub, a foot massage, and/or any other touch possibilities. It all depends on what feels comfortable for both of us in the moment, and we can always change our minds.
To be clear; your cuddle session is all about what you need and want in the way of connection, touch, and cuddling. My job is to create a safe space where you feel empowered to make those requests so that your connection and touch needs can be met.
I receive payment in cash at the beginning of your session, and you also have the option of paying via PayPal or Venmo before your session.
Please make any cancellations at least 24 hrs ahead of your scheduled session.
My home is easily accessible via Highway 8 or Highway 94 (Spring Street exit). There is also a trolley station in the heart of La Mesa Village, only 5 blocks from my house.
